Well…..as you all know, 2012 came and went and here we are already 5 days into 2013! I decided NOT to make any New Years resolutions this year……I don’t have a very good track record of sticking to them anyway! LOL How about you?
Gosh the time flies, doesn’t it? Especially if you are having fun?? Well….I can’t say that ‘FUN’ is exactly what I have been having lately……since most of my time has been spent painting my parents new granny flat! BUT….I know they will appreciate the extra space once the painting is done and they can move in! ONE positive thing though is that I have been climbing up and down a ladder sooo much I am sure it has done wonders for toning my buttocks! LOLL

The granny flat is the part to the left of the breezeway, which is just below the Hot water System on the roof. There is still a LOT of work to be done yet, even when the painting is done! There is a verandah to be added down the side of the building, past the breezeway. It’s a continuation of our existing verandah, which is just out of sight and not yet finished either. Unfortunately for a while until the verandah is completed, mum & dad are going to be STUCK in the flat, unless they want to JUMP out their sliding glass door….or maybe we can put a slippery dip there so they can slide out? LOLLLL Nah….They will just have to come through our house to get out BUT still it will be better for them having more room! My mum wanted to put a ladder on the breezeway for her to get out….can you imagine an 82YO mum climbing up and down a ladder everytime she wanted to go in the garden for a stroll? She would do it too, if I would let her! LOLLLL
Oh my….when I look at the above pic I realise that there is SO much work to be done outside in the garden as well! Building debris to be cleaned up etc…..I guess I will be busy for a while yet BUT….since time passes so quickly, it won’t be long and I will be in my studio and busy sewing and designing bags again! Oh how I can’t WAIT!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL my wonderful friends, readers and followers! It’s been great FUN getting to know so many of you as well! 🙂
Happy New Year Christine! Hope the remaining renovations go smoothly and quickly!
Thank you and a Happy New Year to you too! 🙂
Can’t you turn the builders rubble into a rockery by chucking a few wildflower seeds over it? 😛
It looks wonderful and spacious enough for a visit from a long distance friend. LOLLLL Your mum and dad are very lucky to have you care so much for them.
Great idea except that most of it is just stuff that needs burning so will have to have a big bonfire instead! :0
It looks fabulous!!
Your parents are going to love it!
Till it is all done…keep training our bums ! LOL
You are welcome anytime Maria……just bring your sewing machine….! LOLLL
Thanks Liz….and I will! LOLLL
