ANOTHER UPDATE: Competition Now Closed!
UPDATE: I’ve extended the closing time for the competition to Monday, 10th June…..Gives me a bit more time to make up my mind? LOL
Well…..My latest design is being tested and proof read as I write this! BUT…..one thing I don’t have yet is a NAME! Now I can’t very well start offering a pattern without a NAME, now can I?
The one thing I always battle with is naming my new patterns….my most often used technique is to fish out my good ol` baby naming book, close my eyes and start flicking the pages and then stick my finger in at random and POW…the name my (or at least the one closest to it) finger lands on is the name of the bag…..OK….it seemed to work quite well for the teddy bears I made BUT somehow for the bags I am finding that I am dismissing and re-flicking more often than not….yeah….OK….I admit it, it simply is NOT an effective way of choosing a name! LOLLL
SO I am hoping YOU can help me out?………. BUT before I get to that bit, here’s a bit about the “New Backpack”:
The New backpack is not only super useful BUT super cool and stylish too, with its gorgeous buckle hardware, eyelets and metal feet. Featuring a zippered front flap pocket which has 5 pen pockets and a little coin pocket. There are two side pockets closing with a magnetic snap and a roomy main compartment that also consist of a large elasticized slip pocket for books or a small laptop. PLUS the interior also boasts a zipper pocket of its own! Adjustable straps and a hanging loop complete the ensemble.
Finished bag size = Approx. 36cm (14”) X 33cm (13”) X 15cm ( 6”)
And here are some pics of the “New Backpack”:

Here’s the Nitty Gritty Contest Details:
ONE lucky winner whose name suggestion is chosen to be THE name of my “New Backpack” pattern will win a PDF copy of the finished pattern on it’s release PLUS a Mini Kit consisting of 4 buckles and 2 Strap Adjusters as required in the pattern!
All you have to do to enter is comment on THIS post in the comment space below with:
*Your name suggestion – HINT: I am looking for a name that is preferably NOT a girls name (I have so many of those already!) so I will be leaning towards a name which in some way describes the backpack. (Please NOT the fabric choice as this will of course vary!)
*Enter as many times as you like but PLEASE make sure you leave an email address so I can contact you! In the event that the winner does not leave any contact details, I will be posting the winners name here in a new, seperate post so PLEASE contact me to claim your prize!
*International entries welcome! I will post the buckles and adjusters to anywhere!
*Please understand that I am not able to reply to the comments but rest assurred I will read and appreciate ALL of them! 🙂
*Contest closes Thursday 6th June am Aussie time… i.e. at whatever time I can make it to the computer! LOL As long as you are able to comment, you can answer! How’s that?
Here is a pic of the Buckles and Strap Adjusters up for grabs!
