Emma was one of my very early patterns so I thought it was high time I revised it AND while I was at it I thought why not add a flap AND make her a little bigger while I was at it so it now is more suited to all ages! I am happy to say, Emma is a really quick and easy sew which is perfect for those last minute gifts! Depending on your fabric choice, it is suitable for everyone!
The Emma is a great little ‘grab and run’ bag when you don’t need to take a lot of stuff with you! Comes with TWO versions to choose from! Version 1 has a cute little frill and closes with a magnetic snap. Version 2 has a flap which closes with a twist lock. Both versions have an interior zipper pocket to keep your valuables secure and a slip pocket. Emma sports a FUN braided strap. It’s a great weekend project and you can even use up some of those leftovers in your stash!
Finished bag size = Approx. 20cm W X 18cm H X 5cm D (8” W X 7” H X 2” D)

So many great versions! Love them all. I have my second one cut but haven’t got time to sew it yet with the many power outages we’ve been having. Great pattern!!Always proud and honored to be one of your testers.
It’s really cute…and I love the braided handle idea! It’s fun to pair that texture with a faux leather–I see lots of possibilities for ideas. 🙂 Your designs are always fresh and exciting! 🙂
